The Anaheim Ducks sign 29 year old center Carter Rowney to a three-year contract in July.
He has played 44 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season
He is good in the faceoff circle and in his shorthanded blocked shots.
Ranks second on the Penguins shorthanded faceoff wins.
Season outlook according to the Anaheim Ducks:
Rowney could slot in as the Ducks’ fourth line center, replacing Derek Grant (who ironically signed with Pittsburgh). His ability to play wing gives head coach Randy Carlyle flexibility when it comes to forming lines. Rowney has size (6-foot-2, 200 pounds), and Murray used him as an example of a player who can play an up-tempo style of game. As a former Stanley Cup champion with the Penguins in 2017, Rowney has plenty of experience when the stakes are at their highest.
Looks like we have added another strong center to the roster, lets see how good the former Stanley Cup champion is and what he will add as an Anaheim Ducks center. Will the former Stanley Cup champion help the Ducks take it all the way this coming season.
