Player Review: Corey Perry

The most hated player in the NHL is #10 Corey Perry. He had another up and down season with his scoring below his average in the past seasons.

Corey Perry is what many call an agitator, tough, and intimidating to players on the ice. Big one that many will remember is the goalie fight with LA Kings goalie Jonathan Quick.

Perry is the 4th Ducks player to record six seasons with 30 assists, he joined Ryan Getzlaf, Teemu Selanne, and Paul Kariya.

According to the Anaheim Ducks:

“Perry enters the season looking at a significant personal milestone – 1,000th NHL games, all in a Ducks sweater. He also enters the season with an expectation to play faster and adapt his game to the “new” NHL, one requiring quick puck movement and the ability to finish those high-danger scoring chances.”

“Corey’s got to buy into some more things in the offseason,” Ducks Executive Vice President and General Manager Bob Murray said shortly after the team’s playoff exit. “He’s got to buy into playing fast.”

“Only time will tell, but the team hopes this anniversary season will usher in the return of a dangerous, high-scoring Perry.”
