Andrew Cogliano or best known to Ducks fans as Iron Man for his consecutive games played that ended due to suspension but Ducks fans keep on counting.
He has spent 11 years in the NHL career as an Anaheim Ducks.
January 14th he was suspended for a hit on LA Kings forward Adrian Kempe which is the hit that ended his games played streak that started when he made his NHL debut on October 4th, 2007. (890 games played, that includes playoff games).
“Armed with a three-year contract extension that kicks in this season (signed on January 12) and runs through 2020-21, Cogliano isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. At the end of the month, Cogliano will travel to Vail, Colorado for some high-altitude training alongside fellow NHL stars. From there, he will return to Anaheim to begin training camp in mid-September.”
“A few milestones are on the horizon. He is one goal shy of 100 as a Duck, 32 points from 400 career points and just 34 games shy of 900. Cogliano also enters the 2018-19 season ranked second among NHL leaders in shorthanded goals (16) and shorthanded points (21) since 2012-13.”
