Ducks vs Jets Game Highlights
The Ducks came fumbling down out of the Jet 4-1. The Anaheim Ducks were defeated by the Winnipeg Jets. They took too many penalties and not enough physicality in the game. That is what I feel that attributed to the loss in Anaheim against the Jets.
The first period belonged to the Jets. Just within the first two shifts Mark Scheifele scores but Anaheim Ducks challenge for offsides. The officials said player was offsides there is no goal. It didn’t matter anyway because like 20 seconds later Nikolaj Ehlers scores and the Jets take a 1-0 lead.

Penalty Killing time for the Anaheim Ducks when Francois Beauchemin is sent to the penalty box for interference on Brandon Tanev. During the PK Gibson is hit in the mask-NO CALL was made and Rakell knocks Jets net off. Penalty Killed.
Penalty Killing time for Anaheim Ducks when Dennis Rasmussen is sent to the box for high-sticking Brandon Tanev in the face. Unfortunatly the Ducks didn’t kill that penalty.
Winnipeg Jets Goal, Nikolaj Ehlers with the power play goal. He fakes the shorthand side which was hard for Gibson to be in the position to save the puck on that shot.

Just 8 minutes into the period Josh Morrissey goes at Chris Wagner, both recieve penalties. Josh Morrissey is off to the penalty box for unsportsmanlike conduct. Chris Wagner is off to the penalty box for roughing.
As the period comes down to an end players on the ice exchange words and start to mix things up behind the Anaheim zone.
The Ducks head to the locker room trailing by 2, it’s 2-0 Jets. They need to come into the next period a little more physical and determined to get on the board.

With 6 minutes of shooting and skating around, ANAHEIM DUCKS GOAL!!! FRANCOIS BEAUCHEMIN!!!! Logan Shaw is infront of Jets goaltender and just ducks down to avoid the puck to be deflected off of him.
Gibson made some outstanding saves first it was a glove save and then he used his body to save the puck.
Penalty Killing (PK) time for the Anaheim Ducks once again. It’s Andrew Cogliano off to the penalty box for hooking Jacob Trouba. This was a penalty that the Ducks didn’t kill.
Winnipeg Jets Goal.Bryan Little. The puck went right over th top of the glove and into the net. There was no chance for John Gibson to save that one.
Corey Perry tries to put the puck in the net but he and Ben Chiarot go at it and Chiarot ends up hitting Perry with the but-end of his stick that his Perry in the chin. Perry is off to the locker room with a bloody chin. Chiarot was given a minor roughing penalty for the contact made with Perry. Announcers Brian Hayward and John Ahlers said that this was a suspendable offense, that was something that did not happen when it should have happened- that’s my opinion.
Perry Hit by Chiarot during 2nd period
When the Ducks came back for the third period, Corey Perry was back on the bench after being patched up.
Basically there was a lot of hitting and great goaltending that happened in the third period.
It ended with Winnipeg Jets scoring on the empty netter.
Duck lost 4-1
LET’S GO DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
