Ducks vs. Jets

This afternoon the Anahime Ducks take on the Winnipeg Jets, they are currently 13-5-3 and coming into the Honda Center with a winning streak including a 2-1 win against the Kings on Wednesday. While the Anaheim Ducks are currently 10-8-3 and they are looking to bounce back from the 4-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday night.

There is no new update from the Ducks on their players on ‘injury reserve’ those players are:

Ryan Kesler (hip surgery)

Ryan Getzlaf (facial injury- out for 2 months)

Ondrej Kase (lower-body)

Jared Boll (upper-body)

Patrick Eaves (illness)

On November 19th the Ducks recalled left wing Mike Liambas to add more physicality to the Anaheim Ducks due to the fact that one of the Ducks tough guys, Jared Boll has been out with an injury. An injury that I am thinking that he obtained from fighting, that is only my opinion since there is no official statement from Anaheim Duck Jared Boll on his injury and when he is due to be back in the game. Liambas has been in a few fights since being recalled from the San Diego Gulls (AHL), he has definately brought some physicality to the game for the Anaheim Ducks.

I know that this is the big leagues and what matters is the points that NHL teams are putting up but I have to say that despite all of the injuries that the Ducks have been experiencing being 10-8-3 is a remarkable record with having been playing without the service of Ryan Kesler, Ryan Getzlaf, Ondrej Kase, Jared Boll and vetran goalie Ryan Miller. Taking that into consideration I think the Ducks record right now is really impressive. Well, it’s impressive to me, especially know that Fowler is back the blue line is looking stronger with having him back in the lineup. If I were Randy Carlyle I would be proud of the Ducks and how well they are doing but at the same time I would focus on a few things in practice like perfecting face-offs especially now that there is the new face-off viotaltion penalty, and working to capitalize on the power play almost every single time, and how to keep the team motivated and play their game for the full 60 minutes not half of the game. Then again, I’m a 23-year-old that is just passionate about hockey so what do I really know about that, just saying that is something that I would like to see happen for the Ducks over the course of the season.

It’s the Ducks vs. the Jets coming up this afternoon. Let’s turn the tables and get off to the right start before they leave for another road trip one were they won’t be back home until the beginning of December. Anaheim Ducks vs. Winnipeg Jets coming up next…

LET’S GO DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
