As the time is running down (6 days til the Anaheim Ducks Season Opening Game Day) the coach has less and less time to get his final roster together for the season. Some will stay in the NHL playing for the Ducks while the others who aren’t as lucky go down to the AHL league where they might play for the San Diego Gulls which is like the Anaheim Ducks’ farm team as some people call the leagues before the professional leagues, being on the team with the big guns like Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Ryan Kessler, Jakob Silverberg, Andrew Cogliano, Kevin Bieksa, and John Gibson.
When I went to the pre-season home opening game on September 24th there was a total of 60 players on the pre-season roster now that we are reaching the end of pre-season and approaching the start of the season (or as my dad says ‘the games that count’) begin. Randy Carlyle started with 60 players and at the beginning of this week came down to having 44 players on the Anaheim Ducks roster and when I looked today there are a total of 35 players on the roster just a week away from the season opener. Randy Carlyle still has some tough decisions to make within those days regarding his players but he is the head coach so I feel that he will put together a team that will lead the Anaheim Ducks to VICTORY even when 3 key players are out for the start of the season I have a jut feeling that he knows what he’s doing and knows just how to do that in the best way that he can do.
This might be because my name is Megan but I think that Jaycob Megna could be a really good Anaheim Duck. To me, I think it is like having 2 Josh Manson’s on the team, 2 big, huge, and strong defensemen on the ice. I would feel intimidated if I was on the ice the same time as if there was a time when the coach would put both Manson and Megna on the ice on the same line-up. Gives me chills just thinking about it.
LETS GO DUCKS. 6 DAYS LEFT WHO’S EXCITED?
Now tomorrow is opening game day and finally the Ducks Roster has now reached 27 players.
Let’s Go Ducks.
